Exciting news from the Far East – as part of Everwest Group’s expansion in Asia, a new company has been established in China – “EW International Transportation, Shenzhen”.
“This strategic move – the establishment of the company and the opening of an office in Shenzhen – is an important step for our Group. With a team that knows the local traditions and the market, we have more opportunities in China – not only will we speak the language, but we will also be physically closer to our customers in China, as we will no longer have to spend hours flying from Lithuania to our customers in China,” said Andrejs Petrovs, Deputy CEO of Everwest Group.
“EW International Transportation, Shenzhen” aims to be the leader in road transportation connecting China and Europe. It intends to do this by making use of the truck fleets owned by it and its partners. In addition, educating customers and introducing China-Europe freight transport as an alternative to air and sea freight. The concept of transportation from China to Europe is slightly different compared to Europe, because when it comes to delivering cargo in Europe or from Europe to CIS, we have always been in competition with other freight companies that offer the same services here. The idea of road haulage will allow the market to grow 10 or 20 times over the next few years.
Andrejs Petrovs says: “We started operations in China just over a year ago, and volumes started to emerge in mid-2024, but already now, volume-wise, we are definitely in the top three in terms of volumes in some niches, such as shipping to Europe. Despite the fact, that the volumes are already quite high. Even yet, it represents less than 1 percent of the overall transportation out of China volume. Thus, even if this market becomes 5, 6, or 7%, it will be a huge growth of the niche where we see ourselves in transportation from China to Europe. So, with our strong position already, we see every opportunity to strengthen our market position and maintain our leadership in the future”.
